Welcome to the Charlotte County Volunteer Rescue Squad website.  Our organization has been in operation for over 40 years serving the needs of Charlotte County and surrounding areas.  Our main building is located in Keysville, Virginia and we have two satellite stations to better serve our county in Wylliesburg, Virginia and Phenix, Virginia.

In the column to the left you will find a lot of useful resources from current national recalls for your safety as well as an Emergency Response Guide "ERG" which you may search for many different products and chemicals and how to treat them in an emergency.  ALWAYS in and EMERGENCY-remain calm and dial 911.  Never try to care for the patient yourself without seeking additional help on overdoses, burns, etc.  The information provided is only as a reference to you.

Billing Questions

We offer our emergency services at NO CHARGE for all Charlotte County residents.  We still rely on your help with donations although we now bill your insurance carrier if you are insured to try and recover some expenses.  Maintenance on vehicles, fuel, maintaining our buildings, etc. are very costly as we ran over 1800 calls per year.  If you live in Charlotte County you should not receive a bill from us.  Sometimes the billing agency needs more information from your insurance carrier and may send you a letter asking for information.  This is NOT A BILL.  Have you received an invoice or bill through the mail and have questions or concerns?  Please direct them to Larry Newcomb - Billing Administrator, 434-547-7172.  Remember in case of an EMERGENCY-please call 911.
